I really want to keep an open mind

but the new Liz Phair album sucks. Its like a cross between the Monkees and Dolly Parton: its catchy, upbeat, good lyrics, still sweet voice, simple melodies, but with some rather complex weaves…not unlike the perfect Starbucks mocha. She is a great Sheryl Crow clone…just what I didn’t need. What ever happened to angsty self hate and fuzzy guitar feedback? And yet its a nice cheerful morning album if I don’t tell myself its Liz Phair.
